"I believe we need more diversity across the workforce and leadership positions, so everyone has a role model they can relate to."

Known for her leadership, focus, and innate ability to drive high-quality results, Sarah is passionate about encouraging and mentoring her team in delivering excellence to our clients. After gaining a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Sarah immigrated to Australia from the UK and has over ten years of engineering experience within building services consultancies.

Sarah has always loved seeing the evolution of her designs, from paper to the built form. She is passionate about the sustainability piece around electrification and net zero carbon and how, as engineers, we can design our services so that buildings are better future-proofed.

A career highlight has been working on the Castle Towers Shopping Centre redevelopment over the last five years and seeing first-hand how installing the most efficient central thermal plant with foresight for futureproofing has now laid the foundations for the Net Zero pathway. Other highlights have included pushing the boundaries of sustainability through the implementation of Embedded Networks and smart design integration, as well as working with clients to understand the practical and commercial implications of moving towards electrification and how this can be achieved most efficiently.

Passionate about promoting engineering as a diverse industry to the next generation, Sarah believes we need more diversity across the workforce and leadership positions, so everyone has a role model they can relate to. At the beginning of her career, Sarah was in the NAWIC mentoring program. Eight years later, she remains in contact with her mentor, who was a great support and influence and is passionate about paying her experience forward.

When Sarah isn’t at work, she can be found on patrol at Coogee Surf Life Saving Club, running around after her young daughter and dogs, or at the local brewery checking out the latest craft beers.
