"I love being involved in the design process and engaging proactively with the client and project team to deliver great outcomes."

Spanning a 30-year career, Michael has formed lasting relationships with both clients and colleagues. He is passionate about ADP’s vision of creating great environments and great people, and says for him, the value that underpins our vision is respect. Respecting the occupants who use the environments we create & respecting future generations by designing buildings in an environmentally sustainable way.

Sustainability is at the forefront of what we do and being aligned with clients and project partners who have a similar vision and level of respect is important to him. Michael believes clients see the value of getting us involved earlier and have realised that if they want to create a truly great environment, it means involving us from the start.

One of his standout projects is Chadstone Shopping Centre, where ADP is currently working on four projects. Michael has worked on this development since the beginning of his career. He has loved seeing the advances in technology and services and how these have benefited both the built environment and the customer experience. He also sees a great opportunity in retail right now to create significant public architecture and spaces that truly benefits our communities.

Specialising in mixed use, retail, commercial, education, recreation and health sectors, Michael’s expertise includes mechanical, fire safety and hydraulics. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in Fire Engineering, which has allowed him a holistic approach across multi-disciplinary projects, advising best approach to reducing costs, time and inefficiencies to deliver a great outcome for our clients.

A lover of the ocean, Michael tries to get out on his paddleboard, rain, hail, or shine, relishing in the peace and enjoying the positive effects of connecting to the natural environment.
