Matt has a strong enthusiasm for large scale innovative projects and complex speciality projects where attention to detail is critical. Harnessing various engineering & management experience within the construction & automotive industries, he thrives on leading and motivating teams to push boundaries to deliver quality results.

At the beginning of his career, he worked for over three years in the automotive industry. As the industry started to slow down, he quickly pivoted to mechanical engineering in property and construction where he has gained over nine years of experience.

A professional highlight for Matt was when he successfully facilitated a helicopter install of eighteen pieces of roof-mounted mechanical plant. The scale of the project meant that a traditional crane lift would be both expensive & time consuming. Therefore, achieving the best outcome required exceptional planning and attention to detail. Plus, the ariel lift was much more interesting!

Matt believes that building design, construction and especially building services are critical to ensuring we deliver a responsible outcome for both our clients and the environment. Keeping this at the forefront of all decisions is key to making a difference throughout our projects.

Matt says he’s been fortunate to have been involved in some innovative Health and Life Science + Research projects where he worked in a variety of roles including engineering, BIM & commissioning. Some notable projects include Monash University Bio Learning & Teaching, Northern Hospital IPU and Cabrini Hospital – New Gander Wing.

Matt enjoys projects with diverse systems. For example, he has also facilitated industrial steam heat exchanger upgrades & glycol process implementation.
