"The aesthetics of what we design and how we integrate building services into the architecture of a project is my greatest passion."

As services are more about the feel of the space and less about the visual impact, Jon is considered in his approach to the architectural aspirations of his project. He works to integrate services inconspicuously throughout the built form to achieve a truly great environment for the end-user.

Originally planning a pathway to becoming an architect, the engineering aspect was too strong a call. He completed a mechanical design degree, later discovering building services engineering which combined his love of architecture and engineering.

Jon joined the ADP team in 2012 as a Senior Electrical engineer and has proven himself to be an excellent leader and team player. As the first member of the ADP team in Sydney, the responsibility was significant and what Jon describes as ‘a baptism of fire’, but the opportunity to gain hands-on multi-disciplinary experience, project manage and gain insight into the operational side of a business has been a great experience.

One career-defining project has been, The Landmark in St Leonards. As one of the tallest buildings on the North Shore of Sydney, it offers occupants a truly vertical village with unprecedented amenity. This development has been a great learning process, raising the bar in design and overcoming several challenges through collaboration and innovative design.

Outside of work, Jon loves to get outdoors and is a keen cyclist (both road and mountain bike), surfer, and rock climber, or you’ll find him in his garage working on his 70’s Honda motorcycle or any of his numerous projects.
